Off the clock

The rest of me.

The data and AI work is what I do all day. This is what I'm like the rest of the time.

Hockey dad

Two boys, two very different hockey journeys. One is chasing competitive AAA hockey, the other is happy in rec league. My winters run on rink schedules and early mornings, and I wouldn't trade it.

Woodworking

I like making things you can hold. Woodworking is the slowest, most satisfying way I know to turn an idea into something real.

Arduino tinkering

Small electronics projects. Sensors, blinking lights, little builds that make the house slightly smarter than it needs to be.

Cooking

Sous vide everything worth eating. Chicken thighs, mostly. Cooking is one of the few places where patience is the entire technique.

Chess

A game every day, win or lose. It's the cheapest possible way to practice thinking under pressure.

Berlin

My favorite city in the world. The history, the edge, the feeling that reinvention is always on the table. I'm relearning German partly so the next trip counts for more.
